No one likes a stinky roommate.

Again, no one likes a stinky roommate.

  1. Avoid open door policy

Be private about what you do in the bathroom

  1. Always assume your roommate’s awake

Sneaking your boyfriend into your room can be extremely uncomfortable for your roommate.

  1. Let little things go

You WILL find things that you don’t agree with, but don’t let that create an argument

  1. Find things in common

Whether it’s restaurants or favorite TV shows, create some good memories together

  1. Don’t let things build up- Confront right away

It’s easier to say something at the beginning, if something bothers you, just be up front!

  1. Balance personal space

Do some things together, do some things apart. Remember what’s your belongings and theirs, sharing can cause some disagreements.

10) Do each other favors

Write some little encouragements or help them with their laundry, it’s nice to have a “mom” every once in awhile.
