With finals upon us, life can get hectic and stressful. Some classes may require more time to study than others due to more content or maybe even the dreaded cumulative finals. Taking the time to go through some of these steps can help you stay sane this semester. Here are some tips to cope with the remainder of your semester.

1) Organize Everything

Throughout the semester you've had your papers scattered everywhere or maybe your notes aren't as clean as they should be.

Take the time to organize your notes so you can study easier.

2) Carve out Time

With such a hectic time, you need to plan out how your time is being spent. Between work, school, and a social life, finals time is the time when things can become the most stressful. Organizing not only your notes but your time will help you in the long run.

3) Get some rest

A crucial component of any smart student is a full night's rest. Make sure you're getting the amount of sleep you need so you can have the energy to do well.

4) Make Your Own Study Guide

Sometimes professors won't give you a review sheet and even if you did get one, it's not that great to look at for a reference. Go through your notes and make your own study guide to help you all the way up to the day of the final.

5) Me Time

Studying for back to back finals can be a toll on you. Make sure you take some time to take care of yourself. Whether it's a quick bite to eat, a nice cup of coffee, or meditation, your body will thank you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
