10 Tips and Tricks For This BBQ Season

With 4th of July just passed many have had barbeques all weekend. Summer is filled with fun and spending time with friends and everyone is always looking for some neat tricks and DIY'S up your sleeve. Pinterest is definitely the number one spot to look up anything creative. From being a Pinterest addict I have put together a combination of 10 tips and tricks that can help you with the rest of your summer BBQ'S.

1. Bubble Refills.

This is a great and easy trick for when you have a lot of kids coming over. There will always be enough for them to refill and they can each have their own.

2. Keep the bugs out.

No more almost drinking a fly! This a great tip for an outdoor BBQ and super easy. It does not take anything to it except to poke your straw through.

3. Pasta salad jars.

Again no more bugs! It makes it extremely easy to keep all the bugs and keeps the food fresher longer. The jars are not that expensive and all you have to do is poor the pasta salad in them, easy and simple.

4. Bug repellent.

Most bug spray or bug repellent smells bad or does not work. This DIY bug repellent smells great and looks nice too. All you need is your favorite essential oil(Cedarwood, Lavender, Lemon and Thieves essential oils are known to keep bugs away), fresh lemon and limes, fresh rosemary, water, floating candles, and a jar.

5. Cooler of corn on the cob.

Before you say anything this is one of the best tricks I have ever seen. It may seem impossible and weird at first but just give it a chance. All you have to do is boil 2-3 pots of water(depending on how much corn you have) shut the top and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Next thing you know you open it up and KABAM! its cooked and looks delicious. Obviously do not forget to clean the cooler before doing this.

6. Cupcake condiment holder.

No need to have 20 bottles and jars of different condiments out and taking up space. All you need is a cupcake tray to put your condiments in and save the space and make it easier.

7. Balloon ice cubes.

Keep your drinks cold without have ice melt so fast because its hot out. All you have to do is buy a bag of water balloons, fill them with water, plop them in the freezer and TADA!

8. Kiddy pool.

Instead of just putting everything on a table put it in a kiddy pool first. Fill the kiddy pool with ice and put everything in. It will be a big help keeping everything cool and fresh.

9. Crock pot dogs.

This is great when you have lots of people coming over because you can stick a bunch of hot dogs in a crockpot and be good to go.

10. Wine glass for dips.

Convenient and less messy. Everyone has a wine glass lying around the house so you most likely will not have to buy anything for this besides the dip and chips. It keeps the chips from dropping in the dip and getting soggy.

Have a great BBQ season!!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
