10 Times Rapunzel And Eugene Were Every Girl's New Dream

In This Article:

In 2010, Disney's Tangled was released in theaters, and since then, our expectations for romantic relationships have skyrocketed. I mean, who didn't watch Eugene Fitzherbert (otherwise known as Flynn Rider) call Rapunzel his new dream and immediately wish for someone to love them like that? Tangled happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time, and after watching it a thousand times - and crying over it every single time - I've decided to take the liberty of compiling every instance in which Rapunzel and Eugene proved that they're total relationship goals.

1. When they finally opened up to each other in an adorable heart-to-heart.

Watching these two really open up to each other for the first time is as heartwarming as it is saddening because it makes me wish I had someone like Eugene to open up to.

2. When Eugene looked at her like THIS. I mean, come on!

Face it, we all want to be looked at like that.

3. When the two of them ran around Corona together to do anything and everything.

Eugene, a thief, even bought her food and souvenirs! If that's not love, then I don't know what is.

4. When they finally reunited after trying to reach each other throughout the majority of the kingdom dance.

The way they smile at each other really is the cutest, don't you think?

5. Have I mentioned the way he looks at her? Because...the way he looks at her.

media.giphy.com

Those heart eyes kill me every single time.

6. When Eugene helped her lifelong dream come true!

He even brought her a lantern so that she could contribute to the floating lights she's sought after all this time! Real men could never.

7. The entire lantern scene.

Find a man who'll give up his precious satchel for you while singing the sweetest love song ever.

8. When Eugene busted out of prison to save Rapunzel when he realized she was in danger.

media.giphy.com

Face it, we all want a man who'll do just about anything for us, and Eugene definitely fits the bill when it comes to the princess.

9. This scene. That's all.

With this one line, romance peaked, and it's gone downhill ever since. Cue the tears!

10. When he was brought back to life by the power of love.

media.giphy.com

Their love is strong enough to defy death, for crying out loud! We can all only dream - see what I did there? - of experiencing a love as powerful as theirs'.

BONUS: When they finally got their happily ever after!

Okay, so their wedding is from a short and not the actual movie, but how could I not include it? We all want a fairytale wedding like theirs' deep down...minus Pascal and Maximus losing the rings, of course.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
