One Tree Hill is notorious for leaving its viewers with quotes to digest that touch upon life, love and loss. Every One Tree Hill fan has their own personal favorite quote from the show that touched and understood them in a personal way. Here are some of my personal favorites.

1. “Stepping up. It’s a simple concept. It basically means to rise above yourself; to do a little more, to show you something special…Life’s funny sometimes; it can push pretty hard like when you fall in love with someone but they forget to love you back, like when your best friend and your boyfriend leave you alone, like when you pull the trigger or light the flame and you can’t take it back. Like I said, in sports they call this ‘stepping up.’ In life, I call it ‘pushing back.’” –Nathan Scott

2. “The important thing is not to be bitter over life’s disappointments. Learn to let go of the past. And recognize that every day won’t be sunny and when you find you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it’s only in the black of night you see the stars. And those stars will lead you back home.” -Coach Whitey Durham

3. “You’ve got to grab every second you have with the people you love.” –Peyton Sawyer

4. “And once you lose yourself, you have two choices. Find the person you used to be, or lose that person completely.” –Brooke Davis

5. “Cause you know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do, give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you got to fight like hell to make sure you’re still alive. Because you are. And that pain you feel? That’s life. The confusion and fear? That’s there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better, and that something is worth fighting for.” –Nathan Scott

6. “Sometimes it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one in the world who's struggling, who’s frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay.” –Lucas Scott

7. “It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re seventeen and planning for someday, and then quietly, without you ever really noticing, someday is today, and that someday is yesterday and this is your life.” –Nathan Scott

8. “Most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wished for. Maybe, you'll get more than you ever could've imagined. Who knows where life will take you, the road is long, and in the end... the journey is the destination.” –Coach Whitey Durham

9. “Happiness comes in many forms...in the company of good friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else's dream come true, or in the promise of hope renewed. It's okay to let yourself be happy because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be…” –Lucas Scott

10. “Being afraid is okay. But if you don't work through that fear, you might miss out on some pretty great things…” –Nathan Scott

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
