10 Times Kermit The Frog Hit The Nail On The Head

Despite his recent split with Miss Piggy and moving on to his new girlfriend, Denise, Kermit the Frog clearly still has time to tell it like it is. Here are 10 times Kermit the Frog spoke his mind and gave the world the honesty it so desperately needs.

Clearly, it's not easy being green...

1. He calls out the age difference between Beyonce and Jay-Z like Nicki Minaj calls out Miley at the MTV VMAs.

2. I clearly have no words for this one, seeing how fast he went from Miss Piggy to Denise. My heart is broken.


3. He makes an interesting point about insurance.

4. He reminds people of what their priorities should be.

5. Did you even go to the gym if you didn't take a selfie to show it?


6. I would like to nominate Kermit the Frog for President.


7. He accurately describes the struggle with financial aid, even though most of us, I hope, didn't apply a week before classes began.

8. He reminds parents of their responsibilities to teach and take care of their children. Whether it is teaching them how to Nae Nae or Pray Pray.


9. He accurately describes the struggle and pain of sneezing.


10. Driving: It's clearly a struggle for Kermit.


Clearly, being green and a little bit froggy is a lot harder than it looks. Here's to hoping Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will reconcile their differences soon! After all, with this dream team, 2 is truly better than 1!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
