The first episode of Hannah Montana aired on March 24, 2006. More than 10 YEARS AGO. A lot like many of you, I was a young girl sitting right in front of my television ready to watch Miley Cyrus take on the world as national pop sensation, Hannah Montana. I grew to love the show and watched every episode throughout the years. Little did I know however, how relatable the show would grow to be. Looking back, Hannah Montana taught life lessons and moral values on countless occasions. And even though most of the show took place through her high school years, I find myself relating more to Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart now as a college girl than ever before.
1. When she just wanted to lay in her bed all day long
Don't we all?
2. When she knew she was about to make a bad decision but wanted to explain why
3. When you tell your parents you haven't spent all of your money on late night food trips but then they check your bank account...
It was an emergency!!! Sort of.
4. When you send your professor countless emails but haven't heard back so you go to their office hours
"Yeah, I'm the one who's been blowing up your inbox"
5. When you ask your friend to borrow her clothes to wear when you go out and she gives you pretty revealing items
6. When your friend think she's met a great guy but then he starts treating her badly and she asks for your advice
Preach.
7. But also when YOU think you've met a great guy but he starts treating you badly and you ask for your friend's advice and they tell you to leave him
8. When you have an interview for an internship and want to look your professional best
9. When you're sad and turn on Taylor Swift (because she always knows what to say) but then her songs just make you even sadder
I love it, but I hate it.
10. When Miley gave us the best advice we all know we'll never take
And most of all, when she reminded us how hard life will be, but that it's always worth it.
