You somehow come across photos of the "good old times" between you two and start second guessing the reason you even broke up in the first place. You become immersed in those euphoric times and the next thing you know, you're crying because you feel as though you let the best thing in your life slip away.

But we all need those friends who somehow bring us back to reality and remind us how much better we are without that significant other. And who better to remind us of our spectacular selves than the relentless, tactless, and yet totally brilliant Cristina Yang.

First off, remember your ex could be as amazing as McDreamy, but if he puts you down and tries to eclipse your greatness, he is not worth your tears. You are the sun, shining brighter than ever with him out of your life.

For that moment when you start doubting your self worth because of all the things he said to you —don't let him get the best of you. Turn it into something powerful and shine on your own!

If he was one of those boys who kept putting you down and wouldn't let you have a good day, he sure as heck is not worth it! You deserve nothing less than the best and any guy who won't let you have that is out of your life for a reason.

To that boy who was clearly just trying to mess around with you, remember you are way more than your looks. You are a brilliant human and if he couldn't see that you were more than just a pretty face, he was blind.

When you feel like everything is crashing down, and you don't know why you are even second guessing your breakup, and you feel completely abnormal for wanting to hold on to the old times, don't sweat it. Nothing is normal to begin with, so don't think you're weird for having these feelings.

When you have an encounter with your ex and words seem to escape you and you can't process the moment, just do what Cristina and Meredith would do to drive their problems away.

Finally, you call your friends to help you with everything you're going through, and they try to cheer you up, but you are just in no mood to deal with the outside world. Yet they somehow get you to come out with them to get your mind off it.

When you feel ready to go out and take the world by storm, don't ever doubt yourself. You can look hot in anything. You look even better without him and you're about to show the world how amazing you are.

Of course, when you go out, it's normal if the only real interest you have is food. There is no shame in that. Food is the comfort that will never leave you dissatisfied and understands all of your true needs.

And when you decide after a long deliberation not to go out with your friends, you call your sister, your "person," the woman who will always know what to do even when you are at your worst. Sisters before misters, always.

Cristina Yang is the woman who seems to get life and will give it to us straight even when we don't want to hear it from anyone else. If a badass surgeon can get through her days of saving lives and all the crazy drama that happens at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, you can definitely get over this boy. You are 10 times better without him. Just ask Cristina.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
