You catch yourself in the Pine Room of The Jayhawk Café talking to your friends about this person who you can’t keep your eyes off of from your J101 lecture and then, bam, they walk through the door. And of course, your friends cover the awkward part for you by making a scene.

5. This leads to you contemplating why you are friends with them.

But, what are friends for?

6. You get that attractive counterpart’s phone number.

You close the deal so it’s only right to celebrate and get another round with your matchmaking friends.

7. You take an awesome picture that needs to be posted.

You take a photo that perfectly describes what you were up to on that particular evening and have to throw it on Instagram for all of your followers to see.

8. You get food at the end of the night.

Wheel Pizza is a must at the end of your night. But watch out, everyone will ask you for a bite.

9. You call the designated driver and they can pick you up in five minutes.

Everyone knows that short, intimate connection you share with the designated driver.

10. People inform you about things that you did the night before.

Some memories of the previous night might be a little hazy, but nothing beats the expression on someone’s face when they find out they ventured into the Boom Boom Room.
