There's always that one song that you hear, that you haven't heard for a really long time, that makes you think of an exact moment or some kind of feeling you once had. Throwback songs have a way of doing that to you. These wonderful throwback jams will make you wonder how your weird 12 year old self ever turned out the way you did.
1. My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne
*sits in room quietly with headphones in staring at AIM account wondering when sk8trboi123 will sign on.* Avril always had us wanting to be dark and mysterious at some points in our life. She's really the only reason any girl in the 2000's had cargo pants.
2. Candy Shop - 50 Cent
We can all say we use to sing, well rap, this song at the top of our lungs, no matter where it came on... before we actually realized what the song meant. Oops.
3. YEAH! - Usher
No matter when or where this song came on, you had to sing it... and you still do. It made you want to stand up and dance around or go party with your friends. Listened to it at birthday parties in '05, still listen to it in bars in '16.
4. Girl Fight - Brooke Valentine
Whoever you "hated" in middle school, anytime you heard this song, you immediately thought of them. Or anytime you saw them, you thought of this song. It's about to be a girl fight.
5. Breakaway- Kelly Clarkson
*Stares out of the car window dreaming of all the places she could be.* Or as the music video shows, sitting on a roof at a young age staring off into he sky. This song made you feel free and capable of anything. You could spread your wings and be free to fly away.
6. Get The Party Started - Pink
Pink was the baddest bitch out there in the 2000's. Some parents probably didn't even let you listen to her songs. This song gave us all the feels to want to cause havoc and drink at the age of 12, even though we never did, well at least some of us didn't.
7. Hot in Herr - Nelly
*Takes off all your clothes* Nelly's hit song had us feeling as sexy as we could and the song is still relevant today... But, no mostly used as jokes when it's actually hot as hell somewhere.
8. A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton
This was also a feel-good type of song. You could always sing it at the top of your lungs and just instantly feel better. Driving down the highway, windows down, fresh air and volume up as high as it can go. And, all you can think about is doing the head shake like they do in White Chicks or seeing Vanessa playing the piano on a moving vehicle, whichever floats your boat the best.
9. London Bridge - Fergie
You never really understand what this song actually meant, but you felt badass singing it. Whether it was with the black eyed peas or just by herself, Fergie always had a way with the catchiness of music.
10. Stacey's Mom - Fountains of Wayne
You immediately thought of any Stacey you possibly knew and told her this song was about her mom... even if you didn't know her mom or what she even looked like. It had such a catchy tune and who wouldn't wanna be Stacey's mom? She's got it going on.
No matter what age, or where you are, you know that this songs will always bring back some type of feeling or memory and you'd still know every word to them.
