10 Thoughts That Go Through Your Mind During A Test

We've all been there; we go to take a test and all of the sudden a complete mental freak out happens. Here are ten thoughts that have crossed your mind when taking a test:

1. *Opens test paper and sees page, after page, after page*

Omg. Omg. Omg. I’m going to die. Why did this man make this test into a book? He wants to punish us all and the semester barely even started. There’s nothing like glancing at that first question and thinking that the whole test is going to be that hard. Is this written in another language? Was I sitting in the wrong class these last six weeks? Is everyone else freaking out, too? This is not a good way to begin a test, my friend.

2. Am I the only one who finds this so fucking hard?

Does that mean I’m stupid?

3. I really should have studied more

But instead, I watched some Netflix and took a nap... Now I'm rethinking that nap... Was it worth it?!

4. This is painful and I want to cry.

Okay, breathe, momma ain’t raised a punk. You got this. Deep breaths. Deep breaths. When you’re in the middle of a rough test, it can be easy to spin out of control and think your whole life hangs on the precipice of this test. Of course, there’s no need to be dramatic.

5. *Skips question*

Okay, I'll just come back to that one... Maybe.... When you’re anxious, your brain gets preoccupied with nervous thoughts and can’t read and comprehend at the same time. If only there was an "on-switch" you could hit so that your eyes and brain would start communicating.

6. No, let’s give this a shot.

This one doesn't look too hard! Totalianarism? What is that?! Maybe I should put C, I haven't done that in awhile..

7. OK, I’ve filled out most of the pages

I’m making progress. Maybe I won't fail this test. Ha

8. Every single thing on this page must be wrong.

Yeah, that's what it is. I never learned any of this!

9. *Begins to inner cry*

I should just become a stripper. Who needs college anyway? Again dramatic.

10. RIP to my GPA

Oh, well this test sucked. My GPA is down the toilet. Sorry ma.

Even if you’ve prepared for a test more than any other one in your life, made sticky notes and took the practice quiz, you’ll still run into problems. Some professors are easier than others when it comes to giving out tests and quizzes because they either have set schedules or are godly people who understand the stress of test-taking and don’t want to instill that kind of stress into the brains of tender, young, students. If you have a professor like this, bless your heart. You probably won't have that professor to be honest.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
