1. The amount of homework I have after the second day is unnecessary.

The first day of any school year is a breeze with teachers just going over the ground rules, however the second day is when school becomes serious. Teachers feel the need to "jump right into things," giving pages of homework and forewarning for tests in the near future.

2. Is it OK to apply to 20 colleges?

Even starting my senior year I still have no idea where I want to go to colleges. I keep rethinking my decisions of my top schools and really trying to see if I would fit in with the student body. Narrowing down the options seems impossible and I keep adding schools to my list. 20 college applications, here I come!!!!

3. I think senioritis hit me spring of my junior year.

As the seniors start to not be in school for senior activities, the juniors take over, becoming the kings and queens of the school.

4. I am ready for college.

Hearing all the stories about college makes it seem so much better than high school. Its time to go live on your own.

5. I have no idea what I want to do with my life.

Having to chose a college is hard. Having to chose what you want to do with the rest of your life is IMPOSSIBLE.

6. I am really old.

Your 18th birthday marks your first years of adulthood. Being in a school with fourteen year olds makes you feel a lot older and more mature.

7. If I don't do this Assignment will I still graduate?

With graduation right around the corner and senioritis hitting hard, completing assignments to the best of your ability is too difficult. But seniors still need to remember that graduation can be taken away from you if you do not do at least the bare minimum.

8. I am ready to live on my own.

Having a job and driving makes your life seem much more independent. As you start to learn to cook and do laundry, your confidence skyrockets to a whole new level about living on your own.

9. ...No I can't I need my mom!!!

Yet, no one is fully ready to jump into independence. It takes years of practice and long phone calls to your mom with instructions on how to do everything.

10. It's time to graduate.

This is the time we all have been waiting for. Its time to say goodbye and start the new chapter in your life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
