"Course request opens tonight." says my roommate walking out the door.

My head whips around in that terror that strikes through your body. AGAINNNNNNNNN????

Course request is more stressful then midterms.

Your classes for next semester affect everything: your professors, your possible grades, your time schedule, how much fun you can have on Thursday night, basically everything important.

Here are 10 thoughts that will go through your head during course request.

1. Why are Friday classes a thing?

Really... why can't we all have a three day weekend? It's only 4 years...

2. OK, but what did Koofers say?

Don't lie, we all do it. We look up which class were more likely to get an A in, or what professor doesn't require attendance. Sometimes, I look up which professors require books. #broke

3. Can I avoid 8 a.m.s... or maybe even 10 a.m.s?

No one wants to get up early, and if you do, teach me your ways. Coffee just isn't helping me.

4. Which classroom is closer to ABP?

Food. It always helps. Plus ABP can be healthy... right?

5. So... how can I get Friday classes?

Really, no Friday classes are the best thing in the whole entire world. However, we can't get this lucky every semester. There is a reason attendance goes down on Fridays.

6. Should my classes be back to back or spread out?

Serious question. It's hard to decide which is better. The spaces allow for work to get done.

7. Can I walk across campus in 15 minutes?

The answer is yes... IF you wear the eight shoes and really keep up the pace. Just don't expect a great seat.

8. *texts friend* Is this class easy?

This is really how it's done. Person to person communication is the most important aspect of course request. Why take a class you will bust your butt to get a C in when you can breeze easy, learn a lot, and get an A.

9. Why am I required to take this class?

Sometimes things just don't make sense.

10. WAITTTT?!?!?!?! I have to graduate early/late?

I can't decide which is worse.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
