Have you ever been that one person who just goes home on spring break because you're broke and can't afford to go on all of the fun trips your friends are going on? If so, here's 10 thoughts that have most definitely run through your head during your break as explained by dogs...

1. Time to relax

When you initially get home, you're excited to be out of class and ready to take full advantage of your lazy days and not have to interact with anyone.

2. Wait... I'm lonely

This realization comes quickly after you've finished binge watching your Netflix series within the first two days of break.

3. Why am I the only one not at the beach?

Seriously... You swear you're the only one...

4. Or Disney World?

...Except for the extra lucky people who are happily strolling around the happiest place on earth.

5. Why am I scheduled for work literally every day?

You haven't worked in a while, so you figured break would be a good time to get back in there, but now you've realized that it's taken up all of your free time.

6. I mean, at least I'm making money, right?

There's always that one plus side.

7. Man, I wish I was at the beach

But the longing never goes away with the seemingly hundreds of perfect beach Instagram pictures you scroll past daily.

8. I'm not even gonna' get tan

Still bitter. But at least you're not getting burnt either.

9. I need more food

Whether you're eating your feelings or eating because you're bored, there's always food within reach because what is a break without it, am I right?

10. When does school start back?

While your friends may never want to return from their week in paradise, for you this question seems to come all too early on in the break. You miss your friends, and even after all the love you got from your parents, you're ready to get back to the independent life that awaits you at school! College, we're coming back for you.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
