Every girl knows the mental, emotional, and physical distress that comes with going on a first date. After all, it takes time and effort to get dressed up and go out and engage in painful small talk with a stranger, especially when you already have a bottle of wine and Netflix in your apartment. While the goal is to hopefully hit it off and spend the evening laughing and having great conversation, sometimes a bad first date leaves you plotting an escape plan in the restaurant bathroom. Below are the 10 thoughts every girl has had on a bad first date.

1. Did I really shave my legs for this date?

2. How much longer can I pretend to be interested in this painful conversation?

3. I wore that super uncomfortable pushup bra for this!?

4. Please stop chewing with your mouth open.

5. I need more alcohol. Immediately.

6. But, if we keep drinking he's going to want to come home with me...

7. Ugh, I wish I was in bed right now!

8.How long can I hide in the bathroom for?

9.Ok, time to text my BFF for that emergency situation phone call

10. What should my emergency situation be?

11. At least I got a free meal out of this.

12. Time to hail a cab, I can't even wait for the uber driver.
