Going from your second home to your actual home can lead to a mixture of feelings and thoughts. College students get a few months of no school work (if you're lucky enough to not have to take summer classes) yet are brought back to living at home where most of the stuff you did at college won't fly. Chances are if you are a college student who goes to school away from home, you have had these thoughts at least once over the summer.

1.) "I finally get a break from cramming for tests and school work for a few months!"

2.) "And I finally get to see my family and friends who I haven't seen in forever."

3.) "Oh wait I'll barely have the chance to spend time with them since I'll be working my butt off to save money for school and the books I have to buy for classes."

4.) "Woah my tolerance has gone way down since leaving school."

5.) "I should probably work on regaining that tolerance before I go back to school."

6.) "I miss my friends from school."

7.) "Can I go back to school already?"

8.) "How many weeks do I have left to try new diets and get super skinny and in shape before going back?"

9.)"I can't believe I'm leaving for school already I'm going to miss being home."

10.) "I going back to school today, thank God!"

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
