Once we graduate high school, we are expected to make life-changing decisions that will impact us for the rest of our lives. A few examples include which university to attend, what to major in and which career to aspire to. These are difficult decisions to make when you're only 18 years old. Very few people pick the major that fits them the first time. For the rest of us, not so much. It may take time, with a few changes here and there; even just a small change within the same program seems terrifying at first.
Now, here are six thoughts you have when changing your major:
1. "Okay this just isn't working out. On to the next one."
2. "Time to schedule a meeting with my advisor...please help me sort out my life."
3. "Well, I hope all my pre-reqs transfer to this program."
4. "All my friends are going to pass me and I'll be left here doing ice breakers and essays for the rest of my life."
5. "I'm never going to graduate."
6. "Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit."
7. "Okay, this really isn't that bad. These classes are way better for me."
8. "I'm going to work hard and show everyone that this where I'm supposed to be."
9. "Okay maybe I will graduate. Better pick out my graduation outfit now."
10. "I'm just going to pretend like this was my major all along."
