A lot of people won't understand the feeling of seeing snow for the first time, especially if you live in cities like New York. Though everyone of you have experienced it you probably don't remember how it feels. It feels like waking up in heaven... literally. As strange as this sounds, all you first timers out there aren't alone! Waking up to a bright white blanketed ground, a cold breeze, and the odd feeling of entering an entirely new world. The excitement is real, so for those of you that don't understand what the big deal is here is a little look inside a persons thought process after seeing snow for he first time (especially if your first time was Snow Storm Jonas):
1. "OH MY GOD it happened, it happened! I have to call my family back home and tell them i'm in heaven! It looks so pretty!"
2. "What does one wear in this weather? What is considered warm? Will I freeze and die?"
3. "So it's like minus one degrees outside! That means that 10 layers should be enough right? Should I wear three layers of pants or something?"
4. "I really just want to walk all over the place and roll in the snow. Why aren't people excited about the snow? They look at me like i'm crazy."
5. "Where do the squirrels go when it snows?" Although honestly you'd be surprised at how many people wonder about the same thing.
6. "Is it supposed to be sunny outside? Why is it sunny?"
7. God bless you if you have a car, "Winter sucks, it's beautiful but it sucks. Where did those shovels go?"
8. "Do I have to go to class now? It's really really cold. Shouldn't class be cancelled?"
9. "Can you eat the ice? Like does it taste weird?"
10. "I miss home, can the snow end already?"
So next time you meet someone who hasn't seen snow before, be prepared! They're going to come to you with stories. It's really heart warming to see people so excited about things most of us are over by now, reminds us of the smaller things that make people happy! Happy Winter Guys!
