Our country is pretty divided these days. Everywhere you turn, it seems as if you find someone who will launch into a debate with you over anything. Debate can be healthy and informative; however, there are times where people won't see reason. There are times when people will attack you just for having a certain belief that is incongruent with theirs.

Conservative, liberal, progressive, and so on — it happens to everyone at some point. At times, it can feel oppressive and be bullying. Sometimes you may want to cave on your convictions just to fit the mold. I get it, I really do. In order to combat those feelings, here are ten things you can tell yourself to help reaffirm your beliefs.
