When you go to college, your mom does her best to let you spread your wings, but she's still your mom. Her worrying and wondering doesn't go away when you make it to college. If anything, it worsens. Here are some things you might hear her say at some point in college:
1. "What are you wearing?"
Your mom wants to know what you wore on that date, to that party, to that waltz. Oh, and she wants a picture.
2. "Did you go out last night?"
Even if you block her on Snapchat, she'll know. Mom's just know.
3. "Why did you spend money on that?"
She knows you're spending way too much money on food. Just admit it.
4. "How are your classes going?"
"They're going well" or "I really like them" are the only right answers.
5. "When was the last time you cleaned your dorm/apartment?"
She can tell when you FaceTime, just be honest.
6. "When are you coming home?"
Your momma misses you and just wants you to not forget her.
7. "College isn't your real home, it's your home away from home."
Moms are very sensitive about this topic. Yes, you may spend every day and night at college, but your home is your hometown, not your college town--no matter what you say.
8. "Send me a picture."
No matter what it is, your mom feels more included if you send a picture. Even if it's a picture of that new weird mole on your arm.
9. "What does that mean?"
You'll have to explain almost everything to your mom. Just go with it.
10. "I love you."
Remember: she loves you and she wants to know that you love her too even from so far away.
