Whether it's your first semester or last semester of college, we could all use a little more of a few things on this list.
1. Toilet Paper
Never before college did I realize how fast toilet paper goes. Before last year, I truly had no idea how bad it can get when four girls share one bathroom. Now that I'm a Sophomore, I've had some time to grasp this idea. Please, NEVER make the mistake of running out toilet paper because no one will come to save your soul when you run out.

2. Socks and/or Underwear
I never had a lot of socks to begin with but now I'm down to one sock with a cat on one and the other with a lion on it. Together, they have acted as my primary pair of socks. In addition, my underwear count goes down far more quickly than my shirt count, jean count, short count, etc. Where is the Underwear Fairy hiding and how can I get what I need back?!

3. Scantrons
It seems that finding scantrons is a real issue for many students. In most cases, large general courses call for many exams via scantron. I have been advised time and time again by professors to always have a few scantrons in hand at least a day or two before the exam day. Otherwise, you'll be running around the school and battling it out for the last few free scantrons available around campus. I remember one time all the scantrons on campus ran out for a few days. Needless to say, it was chaos.

4. PERSONAL SPACE
Whether it's a dorm room, hallway, parking lot, classroom, or really any other place on campus, you will truly learn the value of having your own space. The amount of stimulus on a college campus can become very overwhelming very fast. Everyone is in a rush, everyone has a place they need to be, and everyone has something on their mind. Proceed with caution.

5. Spoons, Forks, Knives, Plates, Mugs, etc.
Since you have limited space, it's going to be much harder to bring an entire kitchen set with you. Be thankful for the two to three mugs you have with you. It's nice to have a meal outside of the cafeteria or food court every now and then. Remember, though, those dishes aren't going to clean themselves and they add up fast.

6. COFFEE
The addiction will only grow stronger as the year progresses.

7. Food
You can never go wrong with hoarding some of the pastries from the cafeteria or buying the family size snack pack that's on sale! Feed your hunger!

8. Energy
You have class from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Then you need to get lunch. Then you need to go get gas. Then you need to go back to class. Then you need to go to the library to study. Then you need to go to the gym. Then you need to eat dinner. Then you need to.... You know how it goes probably. Wow. Adulting is hard.

9. Money
Tuition, textbooks, room and board fees, dorm room necessities, meal plans, an overload of toilet paper, etc. etc. etc. It all adds up fast.

10. TIME
Before you realize it, half the day is gone but it feels like you just started your day ten minutes ago. Time flies. Catch hold of it and make the most of your college years!
