10 Things You'll Hear Girls Say In A Fraternity Bathroom

Entering a bathroom at a fraternity party is never a calming experience. They're usually packed, hot, very unclean and filled with a mixture of girls dealing with a variety of emotions. There is an incredibly weird pattern that goes along with the types of conversations one will hear as they just try to navigate a frat bathroom on a big night.

1. "Oh my god, I know you from a friend of a friend of a friend and I've so stalked you on Instagram!"

Drunk girls usually don't have much of a filter, and do not care about sounding creepy.

2. "You can do so much better than him."

Whether it's your lifelong friend or a girl you just met two minutes ago, girls are always willing to console and advise each other, even if they know nothing about the situation.

3. "I just love you so much. We need to hang out more."

Usually between two girls who aren't very close. Spoiler: they will not hang out after this conversation.

4. "Hey, you. Can I please tell you what just happened?"

It's not unlikely for drunk girls to try to get random people to weigh in on their latest drama. And of course, you have to agree with them. Yes, it is rude when your friend makes-out with your formal date, I'm so sorry.

5. "Can you hurry up?"

This girl probably uses fraternity bathrooms for their original purpose, to use the bathroom. Therefore, she is probably very annoyed by all the clutter and waiting for her too intoxicated friend to leave the restroom.

6. "Awww, you guys were so cute, are you still together?"

Usually asked by a girl thirsty for some gossip and just wants to know whether her estranged friend from that Las Vegas weekender is still with her, at-the-time boyfriend.

7. "Are you okay?" "Come on, get it together!" "We're leaving if you don't sober up!"

There's always that one friend who can't handle Thursday nights.

8. "Does anyone in here have bronzer?"

Says the girl who definitely does not need to put any more makeup on her face.

9. "Wow tonight is SO much fun! Let's go dance. We all look gorgeous!"

Spoken by those very happy girls with endless amounts of energy. They came in here solely to check their appearance and gush about tonight.

10. "I need to tell someone something I just did."

The friend that needs to go into a stall and discuss her darkest secrets, right now, during the middle of the party. It's necessary.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
