  1. The auditorium is ALWAYS freezing, but Ms. Parker’s cheerful and caring self-makes being there just that much better.
  2. Even if it’s winter, the 3rd story of the main building is always 100 degrees. You can’t get away from the heat in the summer up their.
  3. The comfy chairs in the library are the best hangout places.
  4. Paula- No words necessary. She’s absolutely the best person at lee academy and keeps the whole place in order.
  5. Winter carnival is the most competitive thing. Seniors always try to take first place. And when the spirit coffin was around, it was the absolutely best week of the year.
  6. You get so many opportunities to travel, Quebec with Ms. Kelly, and Boston, and so many places if you’re willing to get involved.
  7. Basketball games get intense. Randy harris. Enough said.
  8. You make the Best of friends, but sadly at the end of the year, you may not ever see them because they live in a different country.
  9. Walking to the dining hall is a pain if it’s raining or snowing or really anything but being sunny and 70, the open campus is fun until, it’s bad weather and your classes are in a different building every class.
  10. No matter how tall you are you, you always seem short compared to the PG’s.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
