10 Things You Definitely Wore in Middle School.

These outfits are bound to bring every high school and college aged girl major flashbacks (probably the bad kind).

If you are now an upperclassman or college aged girl, chances are you wore these in middle school. They'll probably cause you to have major flashbacks and go into denial that you ever let yourself leave the house in these... but you did and you thought you were the coolest.

1. Aeropostale T-Shirt

Finding a shirt that said "Aeropostale" in the biggest letters possible was a staple to be a cool kid. And you were probably extra fab if it was neon AND had glitter.

2. Silly Bandz

How many could we possibly fit on one wrist, that was the true test. Oh and did you have the scented ones? Because I did.

3. Side Ponytail

You probably knew how to do 0 things with your hair at this point in your life, so side ponytails were a great look.

4. Justice Shirt

If your shirt didn't have Justice written on it and peace signs all over, were you even in middle school?

5. Dangle Earrings

I remember thinking I was SO cool because my mom finally let me wear dangle earrings. Pretty sure I had over a hundred pairs of earrings from Claire's, but these star ones were my fav.

6. Crocs or Potato Shoes

If one of these wasn't your go-to shoe of choice then you were doing something wrong. How many of y'all stepped on the end of the potato and felt as though you had just cut your entire heel open?? Been there, done that. And Fuzzy crocs, was there ever a more perfect shoe that combined fashion and function?

7. Blue Eye Shadow

Chances are you had no idea how to do your makeup so you just slapped on some blue eye shadow, did some duck lips, threw up a peace sign and boom, perfect picture.

8. Gaucho Pants

Pretty sure I wore these to church like every Sunday. And surprisingly these are back in style now.

9. Webkinz

You probably spent your whole life saving on Webkinz. You would login and play with your friends for hours... sometimes you'd even log into webkinz during computer class at school #rebel. Although I didn't have as many as in this picture, I thought the peace sign made it even more appropriate.

10. Sequin Purse

I remember seeing Sharpay Evans carry one of these in HSM and of course I had to go out and buy the same exact one, duh. I think I carried the same pink sequin purse every day for all of middle school.

It seems as though nowadays middle schoolers don't have this awkward stage and I kinda wish they did. It's quite hilarious to look back on these years and all the pictures and just laugh at ourselves. But then again, I sure am glad these years are over.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
