You can be a Content Creator!

If you write for Odyssey and don't act as an editor, your title is content creator! Once you are a content creator, you get all the responsibility, but also all the perks, of the job. As a Odyssey content creator, you write one article a week about a topic of your choice. Being a content creator is a great way to share ideas, news, and passions with a large audience.

You can be an editor-in-chief.

You can be a contributing editor.

You can write about anything you want, as much as you want.

You can utilize a big social media platform.

When you write an article, there are a thousand different ways to get your article out there. You can share them on social media platforms you already have, like Facebook or Twitter, but you can also set up new social media sites, specifically geared toward writing. StumbleUpon is a site that is not extremely well known, but can be a good resource for sharing your work.

You can get into blogging or journalism.

If you are considering a career in journalism, writing, or even just interested in blogging, Odyssey is a great platform for you. You can write about a variety of topics that you are passionate about and share them with like-minded people. You also have a chance to get your work edited, get in the practice of writing regularly, and can see what topics attract the most attention.

You can become a better writer.

Writing articles once a week gives you a lot of practice in your pursuit of writing perfection. If you've done a lot of formal writing for school, Odyssey can give you experience in informal, more stylistic writing. Your articles also get edited, which can make you more conscious of your writing. Weekly writing keeps you in practice, which can't do anything but help your mad writing skills!

You can develop as a person.

Writing can be therapeutic in a lot of ways. Odyssey gives you a chance to write about whatever you want to, and I firmly believe passionate writing is the best writing. Explaining your feelings through your articles can really allow you to figure out what your feelings are, and help you really express your thoughts.

You can develop your resume.

You can write with a community of writers who are just as passionate as you.

Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
