Having a stomach ache or regular problems with your stomach might be one of the most aggravating things to deal with. Especially when you've got eyes bigger than your tummy. In the daily life of a person plagued by stomach issues, there are so many moments of anguish over foods that cannot and shouldn't be eaten. Here's a list of things we all feel when our tummy isn't feeling right:

1. "There will be free cookies!!!!" does not spur excitement

2. "Serving PIZZAAA!" also doesn't

Pizza is a delicious gift from the Gods, sent specifically to anger your intestines.

3. You are constantly checking food labels

The complicated ingredients don't faze you. "Hey, partially hydrogenated palm fruit oil! I didn't know you were in this snack!"

4. You're in awe of the friends who can eat anything they want to without pain

5. Not being able to eat anything your college makes

6. There is constant fear of letting a fart out in public

7. You love talking about your bowels with friends

Even during dinner conversations, which is a great way to make your group of dinner friends dwindle.

8. You rejoice when you discover tasty gluten-free/dairy-free/soy-free/nut-free (you get the point) versions of your favorite foods.

9. Picking from a menu is one hundred times easier

Especially when you can only properly digest a single entree.

10. You love making jokes about digestive issues.

11. You've learned to take care of yourself and be very, very grateful for what your body CAN do

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
