Being with a firefighter is amazing, but there are many things that are different than dating a regular person. He may be crazier about fires than anyone else I know, but there's no one else I'd rather be with.

He’ll leave you at any point if there’s a call
It can be frustrating at times if you're enjoying a movie or a nice dinner and he gets a call, but I try to remember he's doing a good thing.
You get a lot of shirts
He gets lots of shirts, which naturally means they're yours as well.
You know all the firefighter lingo
At first, you have absolutely no clue what they are ever talking about, but eventually you will catch on.
No one comes in between him and his fellow firefighter brothers
The fire house is the closest family you know, and nothing can tear them apart.
You start to notice every fire related thing
I always turn my head when passing a firehouse or if I hear sirens.
You start to watch firefighter shows
