As we all know, Hurricane Matthew devastated many countries last weekend. Leaving more than just destruction in its wake; it left thousands of people homeless and close to 1,000 people dead. With winds topping out at 160 miles per hour, it left people still in need of food, shelter, and medical assistance. Here's 10 things you can do to directly help the people affected by Hurricane Matthew.

1. Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of Florida has 31 mobile units ready to help. Your donation will help provide food, water, and clothing to those in need in Florida.

2. UNICEF

UNICEF is dedicated to the survival and well-being of all children. Your donation would ensure that children directly affected by the store had clean clothes, water, and food.

3. Direct Relief

Direct Relief is one of the world's largest organizations dedicated to hurricane preparedness and survival. Your donation would help "the relief and recovery efforts related to hurricane Matthew."

4. Handicap International

Handicap International is a group dedicated to help those with injuries related to the storm and those with disabilies that may that may have have trouble relocating due to the storm. Your donation would provide essential mobility devices that may have been lost in the storm or may be required because of the storm.

5. Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan's Purse is sending much needed supplies to the people directly affected by the storm. Your donation would ensure that victims were provided with clean clothes, water, and food, as well as other essential items related to hygiene and living.
