Parking is a nightmare.

10 Things WT Students Know

1. Leave for class early in the morning.

If you do not leave early, you will not find a good parking spot. You will either have to park behind the VHAC, or you will have to park at the FUMC and catch the shuttle bus. Be smart. Leave early.

2. Don't try to eat at the JBK at lunch.

Just don't do it. I understand the need/want to eat Chick-Fil-A, Sharky's or Quiznos, but unless you have at least an hour and a half at lunch, or you get out of class early enough to get in line, then don't try and beat the crowd! (Your golden window is before 11:30 or after 1:00. There is no in between.)

3. Waking up late is (sometimes) okay.

If you are running late to class, don't sweat it. Well sweat it because you are running late, but the great thing about campus is that you can walk from one side of campus to the other in about 10 minutes. You can make it.

4. The Buffalo Fountain is always a great place for photos.

It is standard that you have at least one picture of/with the fountain in your phone.

5. The CC stairs are awful.

I feel as though that explain this any further, but keep in mind that no matter how athletic you are, you will have trouble walking up and down these stairs.

6. The cafeteria has its days.

Sometimes the cafeteria is jam packed. Other times the cafeteria is a ghost town. Take a chance and eat it whenever you wish, but the Texas shaped waffle maker is AMAZING!

7. Skateboarders/longboarders/bikers are EVERYWHERE!

It doesn't matter where you go or what you are doing, you will see someone either riding or holding a skateboard of some sort. You will also see people on bikes everywhere. It is hard to share the sidewalks with everyone, so just try your best to not get run over.

8. The HELC is always busy.

Do you need to write a paper? Go to the HELC. Do you want to meet a study group? Go to the HELC. Do want to go somewhere quiet to study for your test? Do not go to the HELC. There will always be people in the HELC and no matter what you try to do, the HELC will never be quiet. Go to the library instead.

9. Be careful walking in front of the library.

This comes in handy if you are super clumsy (like me). The sidewalk is very uneven and you may or may not fall in front of everyone.

10. Parking is a nightmare.

This is a need to know basis, which is why it made the list twice. If you found a good parking spot, don't leave it. Just stay on campus as long as you can.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
