Odyssey articles are hard to come up with a topic for week after week. Being consistently clever is hard work. Everyone wants to find that idea that's going to get them good feedback. That could be hard-hitting news, commentary on society, funny stuff, or weird things that you've witnessed. Let's be real, though: Sometimes you're just not feeling the news and/or pop culture trends. And who wants to put words down for the sake of showing your opinion on something you aren't all that passionate about?

So, I've come up with a list of things to write about if you've got writer's block.

1. Name Beyonce's Twins

Queen Bey announced (in the most liked Instagram picture of all time) that she is pregnant with twins this week. Just FYI. If we're keeping with the trend set by her daughter Blue Ivy, these will probably be named Green Moss and Purple Kudzu. This could be a fun article.

2. Guess Where the Next Idiotic Protest Will Happen

LOL @ UC Berkeley. Another one is bound to happen, but where? Who will be the speaker? How many snowflakes will be arrested? The possibilities are endless.

3. Challenge the "Muslim Ban"

I couldn't find a gif of Donald Trump saying he was going to ban all Muslims forever. Or that this Executive Order blocked all majority Muslim countries, not just 7 of them. Huh? Funny. Guess it isn't a "Muslim Ban" after all.

4. Predict the Super Bowl

Even if it's the middle of the year, do it. Make a completely arbitrary pick, I don't care. If you accurately predict the Super Bowl in June, it'll have to go on your resume.

5. Rank the Halftime Shows

Maybe the game isn't you thing. But the Halftime Show may be. So rank them. Show us flopped and who mopped the floor with who.

LEFT SHARK FOR THE WIN!

6. Name Your Supreme Court Pick

I've got mine. I think we all agree it's about time Judge Judy got the recognition she deserves.

7. Write Down Everything You Eat

That's something people probably don't care about, which makes it the perfect article. Also, pics or it didn't happen.

8. Give Your Oscar Picks

Anybody think Isabelle Huppert (Who?) is going to win for Elle (What?)? What about Viggo Mortenson (Ooh, I know that one.) for Captain Fantastic (Wait, what?)? Yeah, neither do I. Pick them!

9. Pretend a Movie Not Nominated for an Oscar Is

Aren't you guys so excited for Doctor Strange's nomination for Best Picture! I bet it's going to win!

10. Write a List of Things to Write About When You Don't Know What to Write

See what I did there?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
