10 Things I Would Rather Do Than Practice

And I Am Probably Actually Doing

10 Things I Would Rather Do Than Practice

1) Sleep

We hardly get enough sleep as it is as college students, balancing school life and social lives. So what if I decide to take a nap next to my instrument in the practice room?

2) Eat

I mean, who needs to play the Fight Song for the 40th time that day? I'll enjoy my 3rd quarter snack instead.

3) Find Somewhere to Park on Campus

To be honest, if I know that I won't find parking anywhere near the practice rooms, then I probably am not going to be practicing that day.

4) Take Core Classes

I mean, I only need to know how to count to 4 over and over again, but this Statistics class will probably have fewer skipped days than my practice schedule.

5) Go to Only 0 Credit Hour Classes

Yes, these are required for your music degree. Countless hours that barely make it to your transcript and you can never get back. But this is still preferable to practicing that one difficult measure for hours.

6) Break My Instrument Before a Performance

Now, I don't have to practice, right? Oh, I do? But it doesn't work anymore! Still gotta practice? Alright, back to scales it is.

7) Learn A Different Instrument

Why would I want to be amazing at one instrument when I can be mediocre with 12?8) Upset My Studio Professor

Oh wait, that already happens...

9) Practice

Sometimes, you would rather practice than practice. And although that makes no sense to non-music majors, it doesn't have to.

10) Listen to My Non-Music Major Friends Brag About Their Freetime

Well, back to the practice rooms I go!

Chandler Bing
Zimbio

Ah, Ms. Chanandler Bong, or Chandler Bing as he is better known as. For 10 years, Chandler brought us many laughs, many tears, and, well, Matthew Perry's fame. He is, personally, my favorite character on "Friends" because he made me laugh more than any other character on the show and I felt like I could relate to him more than the other characters on the show. Anyway, here are 10 Chandler Bing quotes that anyone can relate to... or graduates can at least...

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.
