We all have those moments when you've been laying in bed or sitting on the couch for just too long. It begins to feel like your body is molded into the position you're in and your butt is beginning to fall asleep. Or maybe you finding yourself eating when you aren't even hungry. No worries though, we're all are guilty of that one. Whatever it is that you do when you're bored, not to worry, here is a list of 10 things to do when you can't think of anything else to do.

1. Write letters to friends and family

Since when did mailing letters become a lost art? Everyone enjoys getting hand-written mail between all those bills and unfriendly doctor appointment reminders. The ultimate cure for boredom is doing something you know will make another person smile.

2. Give your pet a makeover

Give your pet a major grooming session. Give them a bath, brush their hair, scrub those teeth and paint those nails! They may not enjoy it the whole time, but it is extremely satisfying.

3. Become a fitness guru

It may not last, but get yourself motivated to work out. Download fitness apps or do timed workouts while jamming to you're favorite motivational playlist. You may not decide to do it again the next day, but a little exercise never hurt anyone.

4. People watch

This is perhaps the creepiest pastime, but a personal favorite. Go observe others at a local coffee shop or park. Bring your laptop or a good book, and no one will ever know you're eavesdropping.

5. Make a new food

Go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of ingredients that could possibly go well together. Invite some friends over, mix them up, and taste your concoction.

6. Paint things with nail polish

This may sound odd, but glamorizing your phone case or keys with some glittery nail polish is always fun to do.

7. Take a really good selfie

Glam yourself up; make-up, hair, the whole thing...just for a selfie. There's no shame in taking a really nice looking selfie. Plus, you'll have a great new Instagram photo!

8. Color coordinate your closet

Organize your closet by color. This way, you can easily pick out items of clothing that go with one another!

9. Binge watch a new show

This one is for those who haven't been on the couch all day. Become obsessed with a new show and you won't have to worry about boredom for another second.

10. Make a visualization board

Cut out pictures, phrases, and articles you like from magazines and put them all together to create a creative masterpiece that will inspire you!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
