The semester is coming to end and that means that we have to leave the place that we've called home for the past eight months: Fairfield. Although we are more than ready to be done with all the studying, essays and projects that we have, there are so many things that we are going to miss about being at Fairfield when we are home for the summer.
1. Fairfield's beautiful campus
The stunning, New England campus is what attracts people to come visit our college in the first place.
2. The beach
One of Fairfield's biggest attractions is beach days on Saturday at Lantern Point. For some of us who don't have a beach as close as a mile down the road like Fairfield does, we will most certainly be missing the closeness of having a beach to enjoy nearby.
3. Our friends
Even though we are excited to see our hometown friends, it isn't the same as the friends that you've made here at college. You will all definitely miss one another.
4. Our roommates
It's going to be so lonely sleeping in your bed without your roommates. You'll miss your late night talks, movie nights, sharing wardrobes and everything in between.
5. The townhouses
We'll miss walking up here every Friday and Saturday night with our friends.
6. The Rec Plex
Let's be honest, no gym at home can compare to the new Rec Plex on campus.
7. The Town of Fairfield
Downtown Fairfield is filled with the cutest shops, boutiques, restaurants and ice cream parlors. We will miss walking around on nice days, enjoying the Town of Fairfield.
8. Fairfield's restaurants
Between Molto, Colony Grill, Old Post Tavern, Firehouse Deli, Brick + Wood Pizza, Wild Rice and Flipside Burgers & Bar, there are so many amazing and tasty restaurants in Downtown Fairfield that we will miss eating at when we're back at home!
9. The Levee
Late Night at The Levee serves as our hangout place after the townhouses, a gathering for many campus events and the place that we go to get the best mozzarella sticks and pizza on campus!
10. The community
Fairfield is a place where everyone is welcoming and everyone feels right at home, and we will miss walking through campus saying saying hello to friends and faculty.
Three months away from the campus is going to be hard, but on the bright side, when we come back it will be even better than before with all of the improvements that the campus is making, such as introducing the new Egan School of Nursing and the opening of Fairfield's main dining hall, "The Tully"!
