10 Things We Need To Thank Our Moms For On Mother's Day

It is that time of the year. The time to celebrate someone who is truly impeccable. It is Mother's Day and here are some things we should all thank our mother for:

1. Thank you for telling me no.

Throughout our lives I'm sure we have all wanted to make some choices that probably were not going to be the best decision, but our mom told us we weren't allowed to go do it. For awhile we were angry, but no as we become we look back and say thank goodness i didn't do that, that was stupid.

2. Thank you for teaching me right from wrong.

Yes we do disagree on some things, but because of you I know the difference between right and wrong. I know when it is appropriate to say yes and when to say no. You have taught me mt morals and for that I will be forever grateful.

3. Thank you for being my number one fan.

No matter what I decided to do in my life, whether it was play a sport, do a musical or decide to make a change in my life, you were always there to support me. Even though you had no idea what you were cheering for in sports, I knew I could always count on you there cheering.

4. Thank you for being there no matter what.

Sometimes people make decisions they aren't proud of and need someone to be there for them and say everything is going to be okay, you will get through this. There are some people who will walk in and out of my life, but it was always my mom who was always there for me.

5. Thank you for always knowing when something was wrong.

Even when I don't want you to know, you always do. Thank you for that, Thank you for knowing when something is wrong, but most importantly thank you for understanding that most of the time I don't want to talk about, so instead you find other ways to make me forget about whatever it is and make me happy.

6.Thank you for your cooking.

Okay common everyone loves a home cooked meal and mom you are the MVP for that.

7.Thank you for your understanding.

Not every decision made is one that people will understand. Even though you may disagree with it at first thank you always try to understand and let me live my life and for that I thank you,

8. Thank you for being strict while I was growing up.

I never thought I would be thanking you for this, but now that I am older I couldn't thank you enough. Yes you were strict, but not so strict that I couldn't become my own person. I will always be grateful for this because I this showed me how limitations can build someone.

9. Thank you for showing me the value in love and family.

You have loved our family unconditionally and it amazes me. You showed us to love one another and be there for each other, while teaching us the value in family. Family is everything the people who are chosen to be in your life and the ones who will always be by your side.

10. Thank you for being my best friend.

As I grew up you were always the one I rolled my eyes at or got mad at because you wouldn't let me do what all the other kids were doing. Now looking back at that I laugh because now you are the one I call immediately when I need advice with something or I just miss you and I want to see how your week is going. You are the one who just knows and I couldn't function without,

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
