10 Things I Want To Say To My Best Friend
Jennifer Taylor

Most people have someone in their life that they go to for advice, laughs, smiles and just for assurance. Those people are usually the ones you call “best friend”. It ‘s a great feeling to know that you have someone you can go to for whatever you need.

There are several things to thank my best friend for.

So, to my best friend, this is to you.

We have been friends for a very long time, and I can’t thank you enough. There are so many things that I want you to know.

    1. I appreciate you.

All my life, I have had my family who I have always looked at for love and support, but then you came along. You showed me that I could do whatever I put my mind to. You showed me that the smallest things in life are the big things too. When I had surgery, you were texting to make sure that I knew you were there for me no matter what. When I got home from the hospital, you were at my house even if you couldn’t stay long. So I appreciate your love and support. When I got hit in the eye (as pictured), you were the first to check up on me during those difficult days.

      2. I envy you.

I really do. You have a smile on your face the majority of the time (Unless you woke up on the wrong side of the bed). You have a positive attitude, and you try to find a solution to the problem fast. You are an outgoing person. You love being a big part of the show. You love doing you. You do what you have to do to win. You have a passion for kids, and you always know how to make someone smile.

      3. You are enough.

You are my best friend, and you know I love you. Not just me though.. So many people love you. You have a big, serving heart. You show love in all that you do. You try to let people feel special when they seem mad. You are beautiful, talented, smart, and much more. No, I am not saying get big headed about how pretty you are, but be happy with the way you look.

      4. Don’t worry

We all go through events in our lives, and I want you to know that I’m here. No matter what time it is, I am here. I care about you and want to be there for you, always. I pray for you always.

      5. Though we don’t talk as much, you still mean a lot to me.

High school and other people separated us, and we quit talking to each other. But you still mean a lot to me.

6.Thank you for being a role model to me and being someone I can look up to.

You’ve helped me in several ways. You helped me become the person I am. I'm so thankful that you got to be there to watch me be baptized (picture below). I know that I let someone come between us earlier in high school. I shouldn’t have, and since that is in the past, I just pray you forgive me.

      7. I miss you.

No, we don’t talk much anymore, but I miss you. You have a way of making someone feel better just by your presence. I miss the late night heart-to-heart talks. I miss the road trips that we went on . I miss the adventures we went on.

      8. Congratulations.

We graduated. We worked hard throughout high school and sports and made it. We will now go onto college and try to survive school again.

      9. Good Luck.

Now we are going to college to be part of the real world. Even if I don’t know why we go to school just to go to school again. But it’s okay. Eventually we will be doing the job we love doing. But I want to wish you luck because you deserve the very best, and I really hope you get it.

      10. I love you

You mean a lot to me.. Obviously or I wouldn’t be writing this. I hope you go out into the world and continue to be you. Just work hard and know you can do whatever you put your mind to.

My best friend has taught me several lessons, but she deserves to be thanked for being her. She is amazing and funny. Though she can get on my nerves, she means the entire world to me. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. So once again, thank you.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

      1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

      Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

      1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

      2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

      3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
