10 Things I Want My Little Sister To Know.

1. You're beautiful.

Girls aren't told enough how beautiful they are. I want my little sister and everybody else's little sisters to know that they are beautiful. I know I might tell you that you're ugly, but I'm completely joking of course! You are so much more beautiful than you will ever know.

2. You can accomplish anything in life.

Of course, when everyone is younger, they have these dreams. By the time we all get older, people have crushed every dream we had to be the next President and ballerina. Never give up on your dreams or let other people tear them down. You can be anything you desire, just remember to always stick to it.

3. Us, big sisters, actually don't hate you.

We may argue ALL the time, but honestly I don't hate you! I love you more than anything or anybody else in this world. You might get on my last nerve, but I do love you.

4. You are the best thing that ever happened to me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I did not want a little sister! I had my mind set that I wanted to be an only child. That is absolutely the craziest thing I probably have ever said. I love love love having a little sister. It's an honor to be able to call you my little sister. I know that now I have a forever friend in you.

5. You make me care and love so much.

I never knew I could love someone as much as I love you. I've watched you grow up and be so much more gentle than me. It actually makes me care about things that I never paid any attention to.

6. Don't rush your life away.

Never ever ever rush your life away. Live every day to the fullest. Days go by fast and if you don't do everything you want to do at that very moment, you may never have the chance to do it.

7. You don't need a boy to make you happy.

Boys are gross! You don't need a boy to make you happy. Boys are cool to have, but you can make yourself happy.

8. Singing in the car always makes my day.

Duets are my all time favorite. What would a duet be without my sister! We can sing as loud as we want with our hair in the wind!

9. You can always come to me for advice.

Because I'm your big sister, I've had more time to experience things that you haven't. If you ever need advice, please come to me first.

10. I love you

I don't tell you enough that I love you. What would life be without you. Actually, I would probably be so miserable. I wouldnt have someone to argue with, steal clothes from, or tell secrets to. I love you, you mean the world to me!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
