10. For Trying to Better Yourself

You have inspired yourself to get as far as you are, but you still hope to continue to progress. Your drive to move forward, even when you have failed during previous attempts, is something that is truly on the brink of something amazing.

9. For Your Mistakes

A success story is not really a success story unless there was something wrong in the first place. Some of the greatest names in history started their success through failed attempts.

8. For Asking for Help

Sometimes things aren't easy enough for you to understand or act upon without some assistance. Even more so when it seems that everybody else gets it besides you. You can only receive help if you ask for it.

7. For Learning Something New About Yourself

I cannot speak for everyone, but I personally struggle making myself vulnerable to situations. However, the past year I've been out of school, I have been attempting to put myself out there, and doing so, there were details about my life that I could've never known without doing so.

6. For Learning About Others

I have learned about myself, but I am not the only person in this world. I am just a speck of dust in this universe and to think I am the most important would be a lie. Learning about others has really opened my eyes to different perspectives that I would have not had staying in my own personal bubble.

5. For Saying "No" to Partying that Night

If you have a bad feeling about something don't go do it. Trusting your gut is the most important thing you can do, especially if you're entering an unfamiliar situation.

4. For Going Out that Night

In the complete opposite format as the previous point, staying in your room every weekend will never be the answer to all suggestions. I also find myself guilty of not going out often. At first I went out with friends and did things, and now, more often than not, I staying in my room reading, watching Netflix, or writing poetry. Sometimes those weekends are good for you, but just not every weekend.

3. For Being a Good Friend

You put yourself first, besides when it comes to your friends. Sometimes you tend to put their lives in front of yours too often and you start to wonder if they really care. This may not always help you in ways, but being there for a friend in their time of need is a great character trait to have,

2. For Your Bad Days

Everyone loves their good days, but you tend to want to forget about the bad. Handling your bad days varies on the person, but they are bad days for a reason. As cliche as it is, the bad days are there to make the good days better.

1. For Being Alive

There are so many things in this world that can kill us, including ourselves. Thank yourself for being here still. You do not have to love yourself, though it is ideal to love your imperfections, it is not always the case. No matter how bad the night before was, or how you couldn't stop pointing out your flaws in the mirror, your body still kept you here. Your lungs are still filtering the air as you inhale and exhale, and your heart is still pumping blood throughout your body. You are alive, and that is a gift of itself.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
