If you don't have any plans this summer or if you don't know what to do with all of the free time you have on your hands now that school's out, check out this list and get out there and make some fun summer memories:

1. Start a vlog.

Catalog your summer adventures by vlogging what you do! It's always fun to capture your adventures and special moments, and you could even start a YouTube channel and post your vlogs there to share them with the rest of the world! And, who knows, maybe you'll get a following and become a big Youtuber! Anything can happen, so pull out your camera and get vlogging!

2. Go to the beach or lake.

Summertime is for swimming! So, if you've got a body of water near you, whether that's the ocean, a lake, or even a pool, get over there and get swimming, kayaking, or work on your tan!

3. Find a new TV show to watch.

Summer is the prime time to binge! You have three months to watch all the TV shows you put on your queue and waited to see while you studied for finals! Here's a list of 12 awesome TV shows you can get started this summer! Check em out and get in your TV time, you've earned it!

4. Explore your city.

Unless you live in a very small town, there are likely parts of your city you've never seen before! If you do happen to live in a tiny city, take a drive to the closest metropolis and wander! Drive around, see the sights, eat at a restaurant you've never heard of, and take lots of pictures! It's fun to live out of your element and to see and try new things, so get out of your house and try as many new things as you can this summer!

5. Go to the movies.

There are SO many amazing films that are coming out this summer, so you've got a ton of options! Here are a few to get you started:

1. "Aladdin" - May 24

2. "Rocketman" - May 31

3. "Dark Phoenix" - June 7

4. "Men in Black International" - June 14

6. Go to the gym.

It's never too late to get started on your summer body! Take advantage of the beautiful weather, and get outside and be active!

7. Hang out with your friends.

Some of us are lucky enough to live near our friends from college, but others have to leave their friends at home to go to school or leave their friends at school to go home! So if you don't have many (or any) at home, then go out and make some new friends! And if you're lucky enough to have friends with you wherever you are this summer, then pass the time hanging out with them, whether you're all just doing nothing with each other's company, going on a late-night drive, or having a party!

8. Visit a museum.

Odds are, there's definitely a museum of some sort nearby, so take the opportunity to go and visit it! Whether its art, architecture, or something more abstract or quirky like the Museum of Ice Cream or Museum of Selfies, go and see for yourself! You may learn something, see new art you fall in love with, and get some fun pictures for the 'gram!

9. Take a class.

Yes, I know summer is the time to relax because we are all finally out of school, but if you've got no plans, it can be fun to take a class at a local community college for fun! Look into culinary classes, or maybe something artsier like ceramics or oil painting! It's a fun way to keep occupied over the break, and you'll have fun doing it!

10. Go to a concert or music festival.

Live music is one of the best ways to pass the summer! There are hundreds of concerts across the states and plenty of music festivals too! Here is a list of concerts, and here is a list of festivals! Find one that's near you and see if you can go!

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential.
