10 Things To Do Over Spring Break

The best ways to enjoy your week off.

Spring break is only a week away, and if you're not traveling somewhere nice and sunny, it probably means you're stuck thinking, "How can I make my break fun?" Well, even if you're not living the dream and living it up at a crazy beach party, there's still tons of fun stuff you can do during your week off to really enjoy yourself and take your mind off of school work.

1. RELAX!

Sleep in, spend all day in your pajamas, don't do anything! This is our only week off for the whole semester, so enjoy it. School can be stressful, so this is my number-one must-do for everyone this break.

2. Treat yourself.

In the wise words of DJ Khaled, this is a "major key." We've been (supposedly) working hard at school for the past couple months, so we deserve it. Go to your favorite restaurant, or buy that iWatch you've been eyeing for the past few months.

3. Hang out with friends.

If you're going home or staying local at UB, take this time off to spend it with your friends. Believe me, the home stretch before summer is going to be a long one, so make this week count.

4. Take a day trip.

While we have the time off, go somewhere pretty like Niagara Falls or Letchworth State Park. It's going to be super nice out, so take advantage of it.

5. Exercise.

Don't lie to yourself. You didn't keep your New Year's resolution. So get out there and run a couple miles, or even do some easy lifting—swimsuit season is right around the corner.

6. Try something new.

Do you have something you've always wanted to do? Why not take your time off and do it during spring break? Take time to experience something you wouldn't normally get to do during your crazy college schedule. Try some new food, or maybe write a song. It may not fill up your entire break, but it'll still be fun.

7. Homework.

Homework? Yes, homework. Don't forget about the work that still needs to be done; enjoy your break, but don't get too carried away.

8. Go to a concert.

You don't need a front row ticket—just some of your best friends and some drinks. Enjoy yourself, and jam out to your favorite songs.

9. Go to a festival.

Festivals are awesome, and during spring break, there's no shortage. They have all sorts of crazy people, artists, performers and so much more. Buffalo has so many crazy events going on; check them out and support your local bands and artists.

10. Have a NETFLIX marathon.

What's a break without binge-watching your favorite show for the 10th time? Maybe you just want to watch all the movies you've been procrastinating going to see or find some new ones. Either way, grab tons of snacks since you won't be leaving your room for days.

Spring break is the best week of your life... or can be if you spend it doing fun things! Take advantage of this time off and really relax, and enjoy yourself while also getting some work done. Either way—be safe and have fun!

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
