I can't believe that it is almost the new year. I feel like time really flies. It is crazy to think that it is the New Year. 2018 is fast approaching and I feel like I need to get my act together. I feel like there is always so much pressure to get ready for the new year, but in reality it will be safe as always. I think this year I will try to be more adventurous. Here are a few things I will try next year.

1. Try Sky Diving.

This has always been on my bucket list. I feel like this is the year to do it.

2. Complete a whole entire pizza by myself.

I love pizza and really want to be able to do this, even if it may not be the healthiest option out there.

3. Learn a New Word Every Day.

I think that it would be great to increase my vocabulary in the new year.

4. Lose a few pounds.

If I didn't have this on my list, would it really be a new years list?

5. Try a New Hairstyle.

6. Learn a New language.

It would be nice to learn another language.

7. Work Out More.

From the amount of pizza I eat in a semester, I need to work out more.

8. Go To The Beach at 4 AM to watch the sunrise.

9. Go Cliff Diving.

10. Go Traveling to a New Place.

As every year passes by, the more cautious I become. I become worried that the next year won't be as great as I planned. In the end, it isn't about how great your year was, but how you can improve for the next year. It is better for everyone if you stay positive and hope for a better year. All the small actions count and if one day doesn't go right, there is always a tomorrow! Happy New Year everyone!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
