Happy fall!!! If you're not excited then you're wrong. We welcomed this wonderful season of pumpkin spice and cuddle weather on September 22nd and I am here for it. Now that it is officially ~fall~ there are quite a few things that must be accomplished in just a few short months. Below is a condensed list of 10 MUSTS this spooky season.

1. Go to a pumpkin patch

Max Pixel

Walk around pumpkins, drink pumpkin spice, carve pumpkins, decorate with pumpkins. Big pumpkins, small pumpkins, white, orange, green pumpkins- we love it ALL. Hit up the corn maze while you're there.

2. Go to an apple orchard

Similar to going to a pumpkin patch. There's hot apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, homemade applesauce, the creations are endless. Head out to your local apple orchard and start picking! (after you pay of course)

3. Haunted Hayrides/ House

Okay, this one is obvious. If you have never been to one or you're unfamiliar with the places around your school, here are some of the best haunted houses across the US.

4. Watch spooky movies

Business Insider

Netflix is FULL of horror movies. If suspense and jump-scares aren't your thing, there are always comedy spoofs that can fulfill the spooky movie requirement.

5. Break out the flannels

Flannels, sweaters, booties, scarves, jackets, I am HERE for it. Why can't this be year-round apparel?

6. Volunteer at food banks

TPM

The weather is getting colder and there are people who are either homeless or can't afford both food and heat. If you are blessed enough to have a warm bed at night and not to have to worry about your next meal, now is the perfect time to give back. Canned goods are great donations as well as donating your time to the food bank.

7. Decorate your dorm room

Reds, oranges, browns, purples, blacks, get it all up there! Mix up your living space and create a whole new look with the season.

8. Eat ALL the candy

No need to wait until Halloween- or to go trick-or-treating. Eat it all, queen, you deserve it. Besides the extra pounds will keep you warm as the weather gets colder.

9. Become completely overwhelmed with the amount of school work you have

Odyssey

Woohoo midterms! Love to see it and love to be stressed about it. Remember that candy from before- keep eating it.

10. Get ready for Christmas

It is NEVER too soon to get ready for Christmas. I know people get all in a fit when you forget about Thanksgiving but I am ready for Christmas now- in September. So, don't worry, Halloween and Thanksgiving will not be forgotten about but Christmas is the real star.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
