Christmas is well on its way and it will be here and gone before you know it! No matter if you hate the snow or not, we all equally love Christmas and if you don't you're most likely the scrooge no one wants to be around. No one wants that! I believe we should all have a little bucket list this December to make 2016 end with a nice little bang (because Lord knows we need it...). From watching as many christmas movies to having the biggest tree in your house this year, it will not matter what you do as long as you have a happy memory to live the rest of your life with. Here are some starter to-do's to make your Christmas wonderful and magical like it should be!

1. Decorate your Christmas Tree

Everyone loves putting up decorations for Christmas! It would be better if you did it as a family!

2. Go to see local light shows

There are always light shows going on at local parks and we all have that one neighbor down the street that goes all out for Christmas decorating...

3. DIY ornaments

We all miss making those really bad reindeer ornaments out of Popsicle sticks, why not do it now?

4. Go to New York City

Yeah, yeah, yeah it may be cold but go see a show, eat some food, go with some friends or family and look at the Rockefeller Christmas tree lit up!

5. Stay inside and bake cookies

Everyone loves cookies! What a better way to stay inside on a cold and snowy day and make chocolate chip cookies.

6. Watch Christmas movies

If you do not like Christmas movies, at least watch a Christmas Story. It's a classic!

7. Write a letter to Santa

I do not care how old you are! This will make you feel like a little kid again! Maybe a special someone will find it and get exactly what you want/need.

8. Go ice skating

I don't know how to ice skate however, I am willing to try this year! You should too! I am sure it will be fun for all of us, whether we fall down or stick the landing!

9. Christmas photo shoot

Be that weird person who sends Christmas cards that has you and your pets face on it. Embrace that ugly sweater!

10. Get matching PJ's with your family for Christmas Eve

Embrace that family love and get those really bad PJ's no one wants and look super adorable in them!

I hope everyone has a wonderful December and Happy Holidays! Don't worry 2016 is almost over. Let's hope for a good 2017!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
