Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains... And that's about it. right? Not exactly. Oklahoma is a state full of so much adventure and excitement, you just have to look for it! Like they say, "adventure is out there". Here's 10 things to add to your Oklahoma bucket list!
1.) Yogi Bear Jellystone's Park
Located in Eufala, OK, Yogi Bear's is an Oklahoman classic. For 10 dollars a day during the week, you have all day access to paddle boards, kayaks, a pool, and a HUGE inflatable obstacle course! Growing up in Oklahoma, I'm a little disappointed that I'm just now hearing about this recently.. 10/10 would recommend.
2.) Turner Falls
Having the tallest waterfall in Oklahoma at 77 feet tall, Turner Falls is a definite must see on the bucket list. With swimming holes and great food for lunch, Turner Falls makes for a great family day trip!
3.) Little Sahara
This natural sand dune located west of Waynoka, OK is a must see for sure. With many options ranging from ATV rental to the annual SandFest, this makes a versatile trip for anybody in the family.
4.) Top Golf
Are you good at golfing? No? Well neither am I! Top Golf offers a driving range that is perfect to hang out at with a group of friends! So round up your pals and head to Edmond to see what the buzz is about!
5.) Pop's
Located in Arcadia, OK, Pop's is an excellent stop along historic Route 66! With bottled sodas ranging from things you see daily to things you may only see there, this makes a great family stop! Bottles of soda lining the walls also makes for a GREAT photo op!
6.) Cain's Ballroom
Located in Tulsa, OK, Cain's Ballroom is the home (for the night) to many musicians that are traveling through Tulsa. From two stepping to Cody Johnson band, to dancing with friends at Tyler the Creator, this concert venue is a definite must for any music lover!
7.) Eischen's Bar
Established in 1896, this place has had PLENTY of time to perfect their recipes, Their mouth watering chicken will have you making a trip or 5 back to Okarche for dinner!
8.) Bedlam
Oh, the rivalry.. Any Oklahoman knows the game day hype that happens around Bedlam. The two biggest schools in Oklahoma go head to head in a highly anticipated football game! You won't want to miss the game, or the fans!
9.) Blue Hole
Located in Salina, OK, Blue Hole is a big attraction for people of all ages. This cool swimming hole offers a break from the Oklahoma heat! But it doesn't stop there. Blue Hole offers a few cabins for overnight use!
10.) Mt. Scott
Located on the east side of the Wichita Mountains, Mt Scott offers breathtaking views from the top of the summit! Standing 2,464 feet above sea level, this view is one that cannot be fully captured from pictures!
