It's no secret that the holidays are a time for families to congregate, eat, and celebrate the new year to come. With that being said, every teen and young adult can relate to the countless self-reflecting questions we are often asked. These questions are usually answered with the utmost diplomacy, yet what would happen if we answered them the way we actually wanted to? Someone do it, and let me know the result, but for now, let’s just all relate to the wonderful questions of this year’s holiday spectacular.
1. How’s school?
Oh it’s wonderful. You know, my statistics, economics and other super fun classes are just dandy. Living on a dream in some classes is really starting to pay off! (Not.)
2. Are you excited to be home?
No. I’d much rather be staying in my dorm, with three other people, who I love dearly, rather than on my cloud-like bed and a fully functioning washer and dryer.
3. Are you glad the semester is almost over?
Nope! Actually, I really do wish there wasn’t a break at all. An extra couple of weeks of super difficult courses is exactly what I want in my life.
4. What classes are you taking?
Oh you know… the ones that I’m enrolled in. If only I knew what was actually going on in them, I could give a much clearer answer.
5. Is it hard?
Nope! Super easy. Running straight A’s, being involved, maintaining leadership positions and engaging socially is really easy! Bring on more responsibility please!
6. What do you do for fun, while you’re away?
It’s in everyone at the table’s best interest if we save this for another time.
7. Did you miss me?
I did… until you just asked me that question.
8. What are your friends like?
Actually, I have none. Everyone is an alien with two heads, four arms and three legs. They’re completely different than anyone else you’ve ever met.
9. Any boys in your life?
There's only one! First name, Non. Last name, Existent.
10. How can you not have a boyfriend?
Hm… hold on, let me create a SurveyMonkey and find out the reasons, because I’m trying to find that answer, as well.
