Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is coming, Christmas is just around the corner! Be prepared this holiday season with sweet surprises for your loved one. Choose one or choose all, this list will help you plan the ultimate Christmas break.

1. Go see a Christmas light display.

Grab a cup of hot cocoa, a warm scarf, and search for the best light display in your town!

2. Make a bonfire.

Bundle up in a few blankets and have the marshmallows handy for some toasty treats.

3. Hot tubbing in the snow.


Relax and unwind in a steamy tub while the snow falls around you.

4. Build a snowman and snow-woman.

Make a snowman version of each other and see whose is most accurate!

5. Christmas movie marathon.

Set up camp on your cozy couch with a few snacks, your fuzzy socks, and a list of your favorite holiday themed movies.

6. Go Christmas gift shopping.

Get all that shopping out of the way and enjoy a day full of giving together.

7. Spend the afternoon in a bookstore.


Head to your nearest bookstore and read funny comics, cute children's books, or how-to books to each other in a cozy corner.

8. Start a Christmas ornament tradition.

Whether it is your first or seventh Christmas together, start a collection of ornaments that remind you of that year together.

9. Visit your local animal shelter.

Even if you aren't in the need of a fuzzy companion, you and your significant other will surely enjoy a day spent making puppies and kittens smile with your visit.

10. Create Christmas boxes.

Go to the dollar store and purchase socks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and gloves to bag up and give to those in need this chilly season.

11. Make a new recipe to serve at Christmas dinner.

Create a secret recipe that will be a tradition for years to come!
