Oak forest is home to many people and if you have lived there your whole life you know the way around it, and the best parts of Oak Forest. Even if it was hanging out at Raiders games on Saturday nights, Bengals games on Friday nights when you were in middle school, Jack Frost opening up what ever it was you know everything there is to that town. Here are many things you can relate to from living in this wonderful town.
1. The Arbor and Hille rival was real.
Middle school was the best time of your life you didn't have to worry about anything but school and what you were doing after, but everyone knew that Hille and Arbor kids were crazy during games.
2. Oak fest was the place to be up until sophomore year of high school.
Don't lie you know you went and bought a Mega pass for Oak fest, it was the coolest place to be in the summer and everyone looked forward to it.
3. Getting Jack Frost in the summer.
When that first opening day of Jack Frost in the summer hits you know everyone is there because you wait all year for it to open.
4. Central is a ticket zone.
I can bet that you have been pulled over at least once off Central street and if you haven't considered yourself lucky.
5. Raiders was the hang out on Saturdays.
Every home Raiders game you know you can count on seeing all your friends there just hanging out.
6. Oak forest vs.Tinley Games.
If you thought Arbor vs. Hille was something Tinley Vs. Oak forest brings everyone out to those games, and trust me they get very intense.
7. Mcdonalds is the hangout for every teenager on earth that lives in Oak Forest.
It's not fun to sit around McDonald's that is why they have a 30-minute time limit in there.
8. The skate park is a joke.
Why so many people thought this was a cool place is beyond me.
9. 159th Street. Is pretty much the main part of Oak forest.
You literally have everything, restaurants, Dunkin, Grocery stores. It makes up the main parts.
10. You were at Orland Square Mall every Friday or Saturday in middle school.
The mall was always a fun place to go even I forgot you didn't buy anything at all.
