You might think this article is going to be me gushing over how much I love Fall and why it is my favorite season of the entire year (yes, that includes summer). Well, congrats, you are correct! I've always been a Fall girl even since I can remember. Summer is too hot, Winter is too cold, and spring is too rainy. But Fall, is just right. Not too hot, not too cold, and sooo much to do! Hopefully after reading this, you too will jump on the band wagon of Fall Lovers. Here are 10 things that make Fall the absolute BEST.

1.) Football Games

Seriously, what is better then going to a football game and cheering on your team? You get to dress up like crazy in school-spirited clothes, paint your face, and scream your lungs out whenever we score. And you are still enjoying the outdoors before it gets too cold.

2.) The leaves changing

Yes, green is nice. But come on, red, orange, and yellow everywhere you look?! Truly Beautiful. Being able to watch the leaves change color in the Fall is such a unique phenomenon that a lot of people take for granted. It's like a chameleon, but it's a leaf...?? Unreal.

3.) The clothes

Vests, scarves, cozy sweaters, hoodies, and did I mention vests?? You literally have the chance to look cute every single day, without freezing your butt off. Nothing better.

4.) Pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING

Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin candles, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, etc. You know the drill. You can't go through a season of Fall without smelling that sweet, sweet aroma of pumpkin.

5.) Apple picking

One of my very favorite Fall activities is apple picking. Grab a group of friends and pay very little to pick a bunch of ripe apples right from the trees! Besides the massive number of photos that will be taken (obviously), it is so much fun to go and relax for the day.

6.) Candles

For some reason, candles decide to come out of hibernation in the Fall. They bring just a little bit of warmth to a room and can really set the mood. Any scented candle is a must for Fall.

7.) Cuddling

With the weather just starting to get a little chillier, its the perfect time to cuddle with a loved one. We gotta keep warm somehow, right??

8.) Halloween

My favorite holiday by far. You get to dress up as anyone/anything you want, and no one will judge you for it. How cool is that? Want to look like a bunny? Sweet! Decide to dress like a zombie? Even better. Also, we can't forget about endless candy.

9.) Hot Chocolate

Mmmm. Along with candles, hot chocolate decides to come out of hibernation in the Fall, too. Add some mini marshmallows, and you have your happiness for the rest of the day.

10.) The word "Autumn"

Most people refer to the months of September to November as Fall. But don't forget about "Autumn." It is the only season that can go by two different names, and I love it for that. Autumn, Fall, or whatever else you want to call it: you rock.

Just writing this made me even more excited about the upcoming months, and I hope it helped you get in the spirit for Fall as well! I strongly encourage you all to take advantage of the cute clothes, fun activities, and endless amounts of photos opportunities. I've officially fallen for Fall.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
