10 Things That Happen When You're Separated From Your Sister

Your sister has been by your side for probably as long as you can remember. Whether you're off to college, moved away from home, or simply away on vacation, you can't help but miss her.

1. You realize how many things you borrow from her.

Where's that top? Where is that really good face mask that I use? And what about that lipstick I love? Oh yeah, they don't actually belong to you.

2. You put aside hours for your phone calls.

You've gotta catch each other up on every detail of your lives.

3. And your text history is PARAGRAPHS of juicy gossip.

Who else is going to understand?!

4. You're always bringing her up in conversation.

You can't help it that you have so many memories with her. Everything just reminds you of her!

5. You miss your sister's honesty when it comes to your outfit choice.

She always knew what was actually flattering and not just trendy.

6. And you'll miss being able to communicate with just one look.

No words needed. Just weird sister telepathy.

7. Your Instagram game will be weak, since your personal photographer isn't around.

Nobody else knows your angles quite like she does.

8. You can't be your silliest self without her.

She doesn't judge you for your weird, rolling on the floor laughing moments.

9. She's the first one you talk to when you feel down.

And she'll lift you right back up.

10. You're always looking forward to the next time you see her.

Whether you'll see her in a week, a month, or a year, you can't wait to finally be together again. Remember to hug each other tight, take many selfies with each other, and create unforgettable memories.

People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
