If you're lucky like me, you have the same best friends now that you did when you were five years old. I cannot imagine what growing up would be like without them. Yes, we make new friends, new relationships and new memories, but there is a special place in our hearts for lifelong friends. Here are some inevitable things that happen when you've been best friends with someone for most of your life.
1. You are a part of their family, and vice versa.
You're not just close to their parents and siblings. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and even distant family, you know all about them. Family vacations happen all the time.
2. You went through all phases of life together, even the awkward ones.
Birthdays and TBTs always bring back the worst memories.
3. You have SO many stories.
Chances are, people who didn't grow up with you, hate hanging out with you guys and hearing the same stories over and over again.
4. Being apart for college is hard, but it doesn't change a thing. ![]()
5. You know every single boy they've been with/ crushed on.
From fifth grade crushes to the guy you were "so in love" with in high school.
6. You know every single one of their friends. ![]()
Jealousy is when your best friend calls someone else their best friend.
7. You don't need an invite to their house.
It's basically your house too at this point.
8. You know literally everything about them.
The good and the bad.
