If you're into makeup, you've probably experienced some mistakes (expensive ones) that made you doubt makeup altogether. But then you walk into Sephora and everything returns to normal. Here's a list of experiences that people who love makeup can relate to:
1. Finding the liquid lipstick of all liquid lipsticks and crying because it’s $22.
But buying it anyway because it’s the perfect nude shade (and it stays on after your third burrito.)
2. Having a short “gothic-eyeliner-phase.” We may have toned it down but Facebook will always remind us.
3. Dying a little inside when someone asks if you're tired but really you just didn't wear makeup.
4. When you find a fake eyelash on the floor of your room and you think it’s a bug.
5. Contouring so noticeably that your mom has to tell you to relax.
6. Getting slightly offended when someone doesn’t notice your new winged-eyeliner look.
That took you like 20 minutes of angry smudge erasing.
7. That feeling when someone says they love your make up. You feel like Michelle Phan for a moment.
8. Taking an hour to do your make up and hating it so much you take it off.
9. YouTube tutorials.
Doing them step-by-step and somehow not looking like the makeup artist (but still loving the process anyway).
10. Loving the process.
Knowing that although makeup is fun, you still can be natural without worrying about your flaws.
